52. William Crittenden

CHRISTENING:

MARRIAGE:
1. Ann Elliot, 26 Dec 1699, Chatham; Parish Register, Chatham, Kent, England,
FHL film 1473646.
2. Elizabeth Sanders, 26 Dec 1728, Chatham; Parish Register, Chatham, Kent,
England, FHL film 1473646; cf. Administration Bond--a William Crittenden with
adult sons William and John and a widow Elizabeth, dated 26 May 1731

DEATH:
--Ann Crittenden (his son William's daughter), died at age 20, and is listed as
the daughter of William and Ann. I take this to mean both parents were alive.
This couldn't be the present William's daughter, because she wasn't a minor. I
conclude the present William is the one buried in 1731. See related notes
under Ann Elliot, William Crittenden (his son), and Ann Saywell.
--The William who died in May 1731 left a wife Elizabeth and adult sons William
and John, these are the names of this William's two oldest sons, his son
William (the other candidate) had no sons William and John, and his children
were minors, so the present William is the best match from the parish registers;
Administration Bond, Court of Dioces of Rochester, Kent, Box [ ], Bundle 5,
26 May 1731, FHL film 0189193.

BURIAL:
1. 13 May 1731, Chatham; Parish Register, Chatham, Kent, England, FHL film
1473658.
2. Could also be the William buried 15 mar 1780; Parish Register (BT),
Chatham, Kent, England, FHL film 1469178.

53. Ann Elliot

CHRISTENING:

MARRIAGE:
1. 26 Dec 1699, Chatham; Parish Register, Chatham, Kent, England, FHL film
1473646.

DEATH:
A William Crittenden married or remarried Elizabeth Sanders 26 Dec 1728; since
I believe her son William and his wife Ann survived their daughter, the most
likely candidate is her husband. Also, a William Crittenden died in May
1731, leaving a widow Elizabeth and adult sons William and John, which
matches her husband and supports the above. See notes on her husband, son
William, and son's wife Ann Saywell.

SEALING TO SPOUSE:

56. Joseph Bullfill

57. Elizabeth Smith

CHRISTENING:
1. May be Elizabeth, d. Benjamin & Elizabeth SMYTH, born 4 Jul 1684,
christened 27 jul 1684; Note that this Elizabeth would match two other
marriages besides Joseph Bulfill: Smurfett, Matthew, 15 Oct 1700, and Marsh,
George, 7 Feb 1705; FHL film 0992531 (cf. IGI).

MARRIAGE:

58. John Fullagar

YEOMAN. Note that his father, Thomas, was a Gentleman and a householder,
according to his burial.

CHRISTENING:
1. 27 Feb 1679/80, Leeds, Kent; Parish Register, Leeds, Kent, England, FHL
film 1473734; cf. BT, FHL film 1736839 item 2.

MARRIAGE:
1. Ann Fullagar, 6 Jan 1712/13, Leeds, Kent; Parish Register, Leeds, Kent,
England, FHL film 1473730; "Mrs. Ann Fullagar"--the Mrs. would have been the
title "Mistress," consistant with his rank as yeoman; he is listed here as
"Mr. John Fullagar" but in the BT as "John Fullagar Gent," another way of saying
the same thing (FHL film 1736839). Is Fullagar really her maiden name? If so
would she be a cousin?

FAMILY:
His will mentions his oldest son Walter Ford, his youngest son James, and his
daughter Ann. It does not mention his wife Ann; 22 Dec 1737, proved 25 Jan
1744, (1742-1746), vol. 92 folio 93 FHL film 0188992.

59. Ann Fullagar

CHRISTENING:
1. She may be the Ann Fullagar christened 20 Sep 1696 in Langley, Kent. She
would be quite young at the marriage if this is her and she was christened as
an infant.

MARRIAGE:
1. John Fullagar, 6 Jan 1712/13, Leeds, Kent; Parish Register, Leeds, Kent,
England, FHL film 1473734; note she married Mr. John Fullagar, who is listed in
the BT's as John Fullagar Gentleman, as Mrs. Ann Fullagar (FHL film 1473839).
His will lists him as a yeoman, which is the highest class of landed, untitled
farmers. Her Mrs. would mean mistress, the same thing as his master (another
way of saying gentleman). Would the Fullagar have really been her maiden name?
If so, could she a cousin?

BURIAL:
1. 29 Jan 1755, Leeds, Kent; Parish Register, Leeds, Kent, England, FHL film
1473734; ("widow").

SEALING TO SPOUSE:
1. IGI.
